Sheriff Lupe Valdez Asks For Your Support

Lupez Valdez encourages voters to re-elect her as Dallas County sheriff outside Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Thursday. (Staff photo: Allison Slomowitz)
I had been looking forward to voting in this election for weeks, and finally got to cast my vote today. The last election was my first time voting and due to living out of state, I cast an absentee ballot, which didn’t quite have the same adrenaline.
Pulling up to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, I noticed a bunch of candidates signs and people encouraging voting for specific candidates as voters walked in. One person was none other than Kings Highway Conservation District resident Lupe Valdez, asking voters to re-elect her as Dallas County sheriff.
Don’t forget to vote — tomorrow is the last day of early voting!
