Second Calatrava Bridge Approved
The City Council approved funding to back the Margaret McDermott bridge bicycle and pedestrian improvements this morning. Council members Angela Hunt and Scott Griggs were the only ones to oppose the action, fearing the project will go over budget.
“It’s time to take a deep breath and say ‘look what’s happening,’” Mayor Mike Rawlings said.
The bridge will be the second Dallas landmark by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
