OC Newcomer Helps Local Music on His Own Dime

Newly deposited Winnetka Heights resident Barry Binder may work in finance, but his hobby literally rocks. Binder’s boutique record label, Tree Fall Sounds, earns him no proceeds beyond the joy of supporting North Texas musicians.

I’ve been working on a story about him — after an interview he filled with great tangents and points to ponder — that’ll hit newsstands Friday. I honestly hope it does him justice.

Meanwhile, his label’s latest album release, from electronic artist Datahowler, is due to come out today. And like everything from Tree Fall Sounds, it’ll be in vinyl.
