Robbers Working Early Mornings in Oak Cliff

There were four robberies in North Oak Cliff last week, three of which were at gunpoint early in the morning:

At 3:30 a.m. Oct. 10, a man was robbed at gunpoint by two men while he was using a bank ATM in the 2300 block of Fort Worth Avenue. The robbers stole his gray 2004 Ford Crown Victoria valued at $5,000.

Between 1:33 and 1:35 p.m. Oct. 10, a robber stole from two women at a bus stop in the 200 block of South Llewellyn Avenue. He stole a $10 purse containing a $200 cell phone, $8 cash, a set of keys and an ID from one woman, and a $12 purse containing $1,500 cash, a $60 cell phone and some assorted papers. Three witnesses chased the robber until he reached his hand into his waist band and said, “Back off. This is a drug deal. They owe me money.” The robber fled and is still at large.

At 5 a.m. Oct.14, a robber held a man at gunpoint in the 2700 block of West Ninth Street and stole a $100 cell phone and $100 cash.

At 2:20 a.m. Oct. 15, a robber held a man at gunpoint at an apartment complex in the 2700 block of West Colorado Boulevard and stole the man’s tan 1996 Chevrolet Silvarado valued at $3,000.
