Officers, Dogs Threatened By Knifewielding Man
Early this morning, police arrested a man whom they say threatened two officers with a large knife.
Shortly after midnight, officers were called to the 2400 block of West 10th Street on reports that a man was threatening to kill a neighbor’s dogs. When police arrived at the suspects house, he stated “**** the police” and, after multiple attempts by officers, he eventually opened his door wielding an 18-inch blade above his head.
After a scuffle with officers, Kenneth Gonzaba, 45, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, according to police reports.
Gonzaba is an Oak Cliff native and the manager of Lockhart Smokehouse in the Bishop Arts District. The restaurant tweeted back to DMN reporter, Travis Hudson, about Gonzaba’s arrest stating he’s is a valuable employee and they’re keeping an eye on the situation.

However, his efforts to kill the neighbor’s barking dogs that were barking after midnight have merit.
As for Kenneth, he is a cool guy and he really must have had it with the neighbors dogs. I hope this all works out for all involved.
