Sheds, Exterior Structures Targets For Burglars
Last week, burglars were targeting sheds and structures in resident’s backyards. Of the three that occurred last week, the main target was tools.
Between 8 and 11 a.m. Sept. 27, a burglar broke into a shed in the 700 block of North Windomere Avenue and stole a $200 air compressor, a $150 tool box with tools, and a $100 ratchet. The burglar also stole a $150 nail gun, a $100 circular saw, and a $100 air compressor from another shed in the block.
At 5:30 a.m. Sept. 28, a resident of the 700 block of North Windomere Avenue caught burglars trying to steal various tools and equipment from her shed. The suspects left all the stolen property and fled.
Between 6 p.m. Sept. 27 and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 30, a burglar broke into a storage shed in the 2700 block of Sunset Avenue and stole a $100 wheelbarrow, three shovels with a combined value of $25, a $20 garden hoe, a $20 tamper, and a $15 rake.
