Pre-Homecoming, Tyler Street Christian Wins Big
Tyler Street Christian has a big to-do planned around its homecoming game Saturday, with a three-on-three basketball tournament, antique car show, and appearances from Miss Texas on the list of festivities.
The day-long program is also a celebration of the school’s 40th anniversary, which we’ll highlight alongside Tyler Street United Methodist’s centennial in Friday’s paper.
When I visited last week, one student told me how about how much the school’s six-man football players hope to impress returning alumni — many of whom were on larger teams — at homecoming. Well, here’s something impressive in the meantime: They won 52-6 against Wichita Falls’ Wichita Christian School on Friday.
