Party Benefits Turner House/OCSFA

When I heard about the Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts‘ “House Party” this Saturday, my first thought was, “they’re talking about a fundraiser in a stately home, presumably the Turner House, but what’s funny is I read it as house party, a la the sort of thing that happens at a college co-op and results in a full-sized refrigerator or whatever falling on several people, none of whom care.”

OK, it’s none of that, which is fine. But the event — in conjunction with DADA/Bike Friendly Oak Cliff, Oil & Cotton, and a whole slew of other merchants and local artists — is hardly buttoned-up. The name was intentional, the lineup looks great, and proceeds certainly go to Turner House.
