Möbius Bench, the 2011 Spare Parts brainchild of Erik Glisman and Nicole Horn, has now become a DART bus stop.

Thanks to city councilwoman Monica Alonso, the bench on the northeast corner of Chicken Scratch will be a part of a DART bus route, according to Scott Horn of the Fort Worth Avenue Development Group.

Originally, the two artists joked to me during the infant stages of the bench that the large seat and its overhead would make a perfect bus stop. Well, if you build it, they will come.

Also, don’t forget that the FWADG is hosting the 2012 Spare Parts fundraiser on Sept. 22 at Four Corners Brewery on Singleton Boulevard.

The fundraiser will sell donated works of art, created from discarded and found objects, alongside live music, food, and local micro brews.
