Lone Star Beards: A Pursuit For The Proud Hirsute
One of Oak Cliff's most recognizable moustaches might have a leg up on the competition.
Gentlemen, put down that Mach 3!
Texas Theatre is hosting the “inaugural Lone Star Beards and Moustache Contest” at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. (Registration closes two days earlier).
It’s $20 to enter one of 14 categories, which include some for “full beards,” “beards over 12 inches,” and “women’s beards.” There’s also categories for chops, donegals, “freestyle” designs, and spectators.
Besides winning awesome bragging rights, champions get custom wood plaques. (Shout out to bearded Oak Cliff newcomer Bradford Pearson. There’s a “groomed” category with your name on it, man!)
