Clothing Recycling Bin Pops Up Near Bishop Arts

A certain co-worker and I are gonna stuff this bin with tons of "vintage Ross." (Staff Photo: Rick Lopez)
Another discovery I made on my morning jog: a clothing recycling bin right at Woodlawn Avenue and Davis Street, just next to the Davis Foundry Gallery. It belongs to 7th Generation Recycling, which distributes wearable garments to charities locally and abroad.
Now, I can’t mislead you, folks. This actually sprouted between Saturday and Sunday, but I was busy documenting gay trees in North Oak Cliff, whose origins I’d still like to know.
Note to my well-meaning but forgetful co-worker at People Newspapers — Oak Cliff expatriate Georgia Fisher: are you still driving around with two trash bags of gently used clothes in your trunk? No more excuses.

Q: Is it generally a faux pas to leave other stuff – like books and costume jewelry – at a station like this?
Rick makes a good point about PARKing Day; D Magazine (our parent publication) will be at the Sept. 21 event, and editors around here seem to be planning a pretty creative booth.
The registration deadline has passed, but here’s some info for the curious:
