District 33 Campaign Has Gone to The Dogs
This morning, Domingo Garcia’s campaign for Congress was endorsed by his terrier mix, Lucky, as well as 10 other dogs, three cats, three horses, and a rabbit named Fluffy.
The endorsements by these critters (and, parenthetically, their accompanying humans) came in an email touting Garcia’s efforts to prevent animal cruelty during his time on the City Council and in the Legislature.
“My friends and I can’t vote on July 31,” says the statement attributed to Lucky. “But we hope you will vote for the candidate who has a proven record of speaking up for, and campaigning for, the rights of ALL … not just those who are powerful and influential.”
I don’t know if state Rep. Marc Veasey has any pets, but if he does, I await their response.
