LuvthaOC, Thanks for the words of support, but you should still join and participate in the Dells District NA if you really are a Dells resident. What I am saying here is just my opinion about one issue. As far as the “camera lady” goes, if you aren’t seriously violating a code issue you probably do not need to worry about her. She also takes pictures of nice houses, lawns, for the DDNA website, so it is not just about going around trying to bust people. By the way if, you are the person that I talked to the other day, no, I do not own that lot, I just mow it. I live next door.

Gay, I am reckoning that the majority of folks needing an immigration lawyer are either facing deportation hearings of one nature or another or are illegals. Just hazarding a wild guess, but most of the folks in Oak Cliff with a shaky immigration status aren’t physicists or computer scientists with questions about their H1-B visa.

Dallas, and by extension, the DPD, is identified as a “sanctuary city”. Whether or not one considers that “aiding and abetting” is debatable. In my opinion it is.

Maybe I’m just not enlightened and PC enough, but the best outreach that the DPD can do for this city is to patrol its streets aggressively and enforce the law, not provide glad-handing opportunities for lawyers, funeral directors and social workers. Let LULAC or “La Raza” or The Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce or one of the other Hispanic advocacy groups address the (alleged) “special needs” of the Hispanic community.

I’m sure this person was saying that THE NEIGHBORHOOD is aiding and abetting illegals dummy, what else would be your motivation for having an immigration attorney present? I live in the Dells too and this is the very reason why I don’t get involved in the organization. Stupid people making stupid decisions allegedly for the good of all. What in the world does immigration, WIC, and funeral services have to do with the business of a neighborhood? Don’t you have bigger issues at hand? Code enforcement, litter, crime, graffiti, etc, etc….? And who is that crazy woman who runs around the neighborhood with her camera in peoples face taking pictures of them and their property? That’s what everyone in my neighborhood is talking about! Someone needs to put her in check or have her committed. PS- I’ve lived here for 21 years and can ASSURE you that 74% of the residents don’t exclusively speak Spanish. You don’t know what your talking about.

Great thinking, Dells and Dallas PD. Nothing builds up our city and its neighborhoods like aidng and abetting illegal immigrants and teaching folks how to game the WIC system.

In any case, I am also a Dells resident, and trust me, at LEAST 74% of our residents can speak English perfectly fine.

Sounds kind of like the cruise/vacation giveaway they use to arrest a lot of people with big warrants. Hopefully, it will be a decent, honest effort on behalf of the city/community.
