Now that the City Council has scheduled the November referendum regarding alcohol sales, we’d like to get a sense of how the community feels about it. Please vote in the poll found at the top of the right side of this page.

Well, sir. I’m agin’ it! Who knows what kind of horrible crimes Anton and Kelsey will commit after havin’ a drop of demon liquor! Of course, I am being sarcastic. I will be voting for it and am personally appalled by those who make the argument that the only thing keeping OC from exploding in a wave of crime is the fact that alcohol is not readily available.

Rubbercow, I am appalled by those that suggest that the only thing holding back Oak Cliff development is the lack of alcohol. I live in South Oak Cliff and wonder if S.O.C. will become a little like Highland Park when the wonder juice arrives in my neighborhood. Most likely not. Over on this side of I-35 we will most likely start to resemble South Dallas. Then you folks on the West side of I-35 can start telling the rest of Dallas how that part of Oak Cliff was never technically Oak Cliff. Of course, you would be wrong.
